The conversation about evolution and the selection of choices for making decisions, use to be the trigger where the people start requiring using OODA Loop.
OODA Loop are usually ignored by the people using Wardley Maps, and it's fine, because there is so much to do before to need to use OODA loops during the conversation.
OODA loop adoption is not simple, and I differentiate these mental stages when using it:
A problem that the customer agrees exists.
A problem that the customer clearly articulates.
A problem that the customer brings up on their own, talking animatedly, clearly agitated, boggled, even infuriated.
Only the last one is easy to sell.

Maps are a qualitative tool, not a quantitative one.
Distances are very difficult to represent accurately.
The purpose of a map is to provide guidance and facilitate shared understanding, not as a project deliverable.

In any industry, value creation takes different forms.
Each solution to a need can add value individually, but if you look at it from an industry perspective, there are formats that destroy net value.
An easy example is music.
- give in advance the guiding principles for the second session.
If you think the situational awareness session was thought, wait for the second one.... it will be a different beast.
In collective intelligence workshops, separate the sessions where you focus on situational awareness and the ones where your focus is making hard choices.
