✍🏻 Plot Notes:
Draft an emotionally repressed man with childhood trauma and force him to fall in love.

Congrats! 🍾 What a big win to start off the weekend. Love the cover.
Me: I’ll write a sweeping historical romance with depth and nuance
Also me: Googling "words that start with S"
Present me: Googling if "google" is capitalized as a transitive verb

Anyone else read "Debrett's" as "Debra" in their head?
*Writing Character Arc*
Wait, does the heir apparent keep a courtesy title if I kill off the father?
Does the mother become a dowager before or after her son takes the title and marries?
Hang on—hey, Debra?! . . .

Sticker Saturday! The slow burn reveal of my laptop adhesives continues.
Mr. S teases I carry books around like a teddy bear, and I'm like, kinda, yeah.
Even if I don't open the book, sometimes just knowing it's there, or just getting to hold it, is enough.

✍️Plot notes:
“Lady Jane” is fine if her father is a viscount, earl, marquess, or duke.
If married to a baron, she’s “Lady Jane". But "Baroness Whatever” if she's already a Baroness in her own right.
A duke’s daughter who married a commoner? Still “Lady Jane.”

🥵 Spoiler: there’s binding, multiple clauses, and absolutely no passive voice from *that* sub(section).

Peerage fun facts for my fellow 💗 historical lovers-lovers.
Not every “Lord” is a peer. Some are just fancy judges. 👨🏻⚖️
Baronets? Not peers. Kinda just hereditary land-owning overachievers with a title complex. 👨🏻🌾But you can call them "Lord Whatshisface".

Rounded vertical peach colored rectangle with two cowgirl boots illustrated in the middle and above say Chestnut and below says Springs representing the series by Elsie Silver.
I’mma slow burn it for you with my laptop stickers.
Starting w this gem bc I’ll never look at a hay maze (or baseball cap or hot tub or front porch) the same way after Heartless. *I* will never be the same after Heartless.

Hi, my name is Elizabeth, & I’m attempting to become a first time romance author.
👋 May your day be filled with modifiers that do not dangle, dialogue tags that default to “said”, and Oxford commas that do not yield. Amen.
