Basically Trump decided to cause chaos, mayhem, death, destruction, disruption, dissension, depletion of resources, & decades of hatred and mistrust from friends and foe in the Middle East and beyond, then walk away while telling the world he expects them to clean up his mess.
Alberta separatism isn’t motivated by equalization policies, Senate seats, carbon taxes or oil. These tired complaints may ride shotgun on independence, but bigotry drives the truck.

If an NDP had done this, there would be a huge media pile on for as long as the media could keep it in the headlines. Now, we'll be told that Fir issued an apology & the public should consider the matter closed, completely ignoring the fact the UCP governs only for its base & not for all Albertans
