Granted this movie’s fantastic & gorgeously animated regardless, but the extra lens really ties it all together. Brings me back to 2011 finding hastily translated songs that expressed how I felt better than my own words. It’s rewarding to see the community expand & connect so much since then

Being in the Vocaloid community has been rough this past year with all the discourse about “slop” and trends and the divide between JP/western culture but this movie feels like the perfect reward for remaining involved for over a decade now

“I honestly [didn’t] see” I ain’t typing all that again 😭

I still feel that Nana & Kokoro should’ve been more involved in the ZK arc, but they did come through afterwards to play off the new additions (well, re-additions) so I’m happy! I can’t say I’ll miss this season overall, but I’ll miss these girls

And finally as a group…they were solid! The main trio made for a silly friend group that lovingly supported each other, and the duo addition felt natural in a way that not every season has achieved. You could put any two of them in a room & the chemistry would still hold up!

Seriously, gem of the season. I do admit Meroron being aggressive towards the team felt a lil drawn out but tbf that came after a beautifully selfless act. Her & Nyammy would get along great over their protectiveness making them hesitant to join the whole team

Ahem, I mean her character growth was beautiful & I was happy to see her open up to everyone & yuri & her dramatic poetry was hilarious & her backstory about being born from darkness was fascinating & yuri & yuri–
