New Discogs app logo no longer features grooves on the record. Should we go full blown Cracker Barrel on this or what?

What’s up with “No Refrigeration Needed” Mayonnaise?

And to be clear, I think loosening restrictions on psychedelic research is a great thing wholly independent of these details.

I wonder if there's something here about Trump trying to win back Rogan's routine laundering of his fascist intent by throwing him a big bone via one of his major interests and wishes? Let's see if Rogan continues to critique Trump, as he's been doing recently, or revert back to carrying water.

Had a dream last night that i was in a waiting room with Bob Dylan. He wore jeans and a hoodie. We were both waiting for...something. He f'd around on his phone. I casually asked him what his favorite apps on his phone were. He dressed me down for not minding my own business.

Imagine wanting to become the next Bill Hicks but you end up a modern day Father Charles Coughlin laundering information to the public for a wannabe dictator. Absolute pathetic failure on every level.

Maya and I rewatched the GnR video trilogy the other night and halfway through "Estranged" she said, "Oh yeah, this ends with Axl with the dolphin who is dressed up like Axl" and I was 100% incredulous. Surely, I'd remember that. But the vid does indeed end with Axl's flannel draped over a dolphin.

receiving $1600 in passive income from old rap tracks on streaming platforms for fractions of pennies on the dollar per spin? that's a popular mayor.

I want to apologize to everyone for presenting one of Andrew Dice Clay's disgusting nursery rhymes as a bible verse.

No. It's precisely as camouflaged as promo practices that stretch back to the 19c. The "boomers" (aka song pluggers) planted by Tin Pan Alley publishers in vaudeville houses to goose (pun intended) audiences into demanding encores were the proto-bots/"fake fans." And was payola not camouflaged? Jeez

I feel that’s a GREEEEEEAT discussion to be had, and agree it’s shitty, but calling this a psy-op without acknowledging the long history of music marketing and payola AND comparing it the brainwashing of the public into accepting racism/fascism/nationalism is bad for business

Again: for any big liberal donor who wants to funnel millions into fixing this country's politics, the ROI on buying any struggling paper and simply tasking it with doing real reporting on local news is vastly higher than the same $$ given to some group that does mass ad buys every election year.

Listen, no one resents bands receiving reams of attention simply because tons of money is behind them more than me, but this angle is just silly, unless you want to call all digital marketing a psy-op (which, hey, I'm also fine with).

Hallelujah the Hills: Diamonds (Best Brothers BBR005, 2025)

The first (and hopefully not last) of the four suits of the DECK to be released on #vinyl. Such a bonkers idea to write and record 52 new songs (plus two jokers!) and release them all at once. Worth the wait. Diamonds contains 13 of their best songs, everything great about this band.

Hallelujah the Hills’ ‘DECK’ Ranked 2025's most incredible musical achievement was Hallelujah the Hills somehow finishing a 54 song record. I try to rank them from 'Less Great' to 'More Great'

...a collector's item or expensive, it was just my uncle's hat.

On the car ride home from Logan, the thing my uncle kept repeating to me was how the man had adjusted the snaps on the back to bolster the lie.

"He adjusted the hat, can you believe that, Ry?"
"I can't"
"Huge head, too"
"Wow.
