Dad retold me his tale of seeing Bowie perform at Bournemouth Pavillian when he was still called ‘David Jones’ & was performing as Davy Jones and the Manish Boys - think circa 1964. Dad gave a detailed account of what Bowie was wearing - both he & Bowie were in there mod phase.
This track has now gone past the 2K mark for streams on Spotify which I am very chuffed with. Thanks so much to anyone who has / continues to listen to it.

Just casually eating a packet of Love Heart sweets on the tube (branded from my voluntary work - I didn’t actually buy them you understand) like the big retro gay I am.
I always feel sophisticated (or dream I am) when I listen to Bryan Ferry.
It’s brilliant. It’s one I return to time and time again. It’s really atmospheric.

The title ‘I Was A Photograph’ actually came from something the artist who inspired the song said when she was sharing her story of life growing up in Rio (where she knew the young woman who inspired another song - the famous ‘The Girl From Ipanema’).
