I just heard the rumblings around Disney considering buying Epic outright, and while it sounds like that's still Very Much in the "hmm, maybe someday" category, thinking about how that would change the games landscape is a bit head-reeling.

Like Disney would become a game-industry giant overnight.

This isn’t a partisan issue any more, and I applaud the Republican leaders who are finally standing up and raising their voices against Federal overreach and petty assaults on our rights. I want a functional Government again.

And GDC was in San Francisco. Here in Orlando, and in other cities in Republican led states, the economic damage is much more noticeable.

GDC had a sparseness to it this year that was out of their control. The games industry brings in more money than the rest of the entertainment industry combined, but our political leaders’ policies are making us an increasingly undesirable if not outright unsafe place to do business.

Fantastic turnout at today’s Lake Nona Democrats meeting with Senator Vic Torres and Representative Rita Harris. A great mix of attendees from across the loyal opposition.

Also music festivals. May seem like a left field one, but I have accidentally learned SO much about large-scale community interactions and emergent play from bouncing around at EDM festivals.

I don’t know when this trend started. I’m Italian and generally a-ok with physical, but asking should always be the default!
