Free sanitary products help yourself
Free for everyone. Period. And a rack with pads and tampons.
Did you know, Scotland is the first country in the world to protect, in law, the right to access free period products for anyone who needs them. This manifests as free period products in public spaces and toilets. You realise how much you miss this, once it is gone.
A video from Leave Curious all about an important crowdfunding campaign to return Eurasian lynx to the UK! 🐾 Currently the UK has NO megafaunal predators - reintroducing these kitties would begin to fix that. ❤️ youtu.be/g0P_bCJQ6Eg?...
As a hiker off leash dogs in places where they're legally supposed to be leashed for the protection of wildlife & other trail users make me a little grumpy, unless it's really obvious that the dog is heeling properly & clearly actually under control, then I'm impressed 'cus it's such a rare sight.
One of my vet teachers said that it was more important for dogs to be socialized with humans than with other dogs, & that dog parks were pretty much pure chaos. She said that it was better to take a puppy to Home Depot for socialization than to a dog park, 'cus dogs in a store MUST be leashed.
Sooo cool you got to design something for Bizarre Beasts!
Today is the last day you can get my okapi pins from the Bizarre Beasts pin club!! complexly.store/products/biz...
Awww, squirrel argument! ❤️ I love the shot with the seeds flying about haha.
“Pancreatic cancer mRNA vaccine shows lasting results in an early trial. Scientists caution that more research is needed, but nearly all of the patients who responded to the personalized vaccine are still alive six years later.”
This is why we should fund science. 🧪
Congrats!!
You can go watch the first teaser clip from the Vampair pilot right now, and hear what I sound like voicing Steve!

Gorgeous ❤️ someday I want to build one of these for a betta (I want a rematch with the species since I sucked at caring for them as a kid & I've been educated.)
I either want to build a henge out of rock core samples or just a pile of black lava rock as hardscape.❤️❤️
A flat cell colour WIP of a grumpy looking tan and brown snake with round pupils; a western/plains hognose.
WIP of my western/plains hognose snake illustration - I got distracted by drawing fish for a bit but damn these little dudes have the cutest grumpy faces! ❤️
Anyone have any requests for the next snake species?😁 Note that these are for species ID labels so I'm only painting normal colour morphs. 🐍❤️❤️
I feel like if even just these companies paid their damned taxes normal people'd be so much better off.
Tesla. Disney. CVS Health. United Airlines. PayPal. Billions in profits. $0 in federal corporate income taxes.
That money should be funding schools, healthcare, and public services.
This is why people are mad as hell.
A painterly flat colour illustration of a vibrant royal gramma basslet, a purple reef fish with a gold hind end, and crimson facial stripes.
An illustration of a black cap basslet, a purple fish with black dorsal markings. Like its cousin the royal granma, it has a sapphire blue eye.
Normal basslets; the famous Royal Gramma basslet and the black cap basslet.❤️🪸
A series of flat coloured, digitally painted illustrations of three colourful deepwater basslets, plus a chalk bass. This one is the deepwater candy basslet and it is goldenrod yellow with pink horizontal stripes.
The Swissguard deepwater basslet, which is light pink with red and yellow horizontal pinstripes.
The Carribean Deepwater Cave Basslet, a hot ponk and orange fish with a yellow stripe near its eye and lavender markings on its head and tail.
The gorgeously underrated chalk bass, a silvery blue irridescent fish with a dark red toplone and electric blue vertical splotchy stripes.
Deepwater basslets! (Plus a chalk bass!)
An illustration of the yellow clown goby, which is arguably the most boring looking clown goby, given that it is yellow all over, with no cool markings or flourescense or anything.
...relatively hard to find reference photos of these little guys (especially photos where they aren't perching on things.)
I definitely didn't find all of the species of these little guys, but I tried my best. In the future if there's a reef fish someone wants to see, let me know & I'll draw it.❤️🪸
A maroon clown gony, which is dark red in colour with electric blue stripes.
...wild their eating of Acropora mucous really doesn't hinder the coral much, but in captivity it can be a real problem.
- Their clownfish-like shape probably worries their more visually impaired neighbours on the reef (clownfish are aggressively territorial.)
- They seem poorly described; it's...
A black clown goby, which looks a lot like a citron clown goby except black.
A panda clown goby; these guys have black fins, tan bodies, and orangish heads.
Art note: I need to fix their dorsal fins, I got the shape of it wrong. 😅
Some biology:
- They're also known as poison gobies for good reason; their slime coat is toxic.
- They like eating the mucous of SPS corals like Acropora, which means that not all reef keepers like them very much. In the...
A cell-coloured portrait of a citron clown goby, a clownfish-like rounded fish that is gold in colour under normal daylight with electric blue stripes but which takes on a purplish hue under blue light.
A trio of photos of my actual clown goby, Skittle, perching near a pink bubbletip anemone. He looks extremely gold in this picture.
Skittle again, this time perched beside a pink hammer coral (which looks a lot like an anemone,) watching me suspiciously. Might there be food soon?
Skittle, half hidden in a rock cave, just his noggin visible as he sits, probably contemplating perching on stuff.
I actually keep a citron clown goby by the name of Skittle; he's cool because his scales flouresce purple under actinic/black light & he loves spying on me, trying to figure out whether I am about to immenently feed his reef or not. These guys love perching on stuff, which is cute as heck!
A rounded, clownfish-like shaped fish that is green with miriad red stripes and transparent brownish fins.
Today on 'Rosy draws a shit tonne of marine fish!': basslets, apparently. (There's something stupidly satisfying about painting these things, even if I don't entirely know what I am doing with them.)
🧵Here's yesterday's work: the clown/poison/coral gobies!
First, the warpaint/green clown goby!

Omg sir, ROFL 🤣
Well, at least they're anti-AI, that's a good start, but the very stressful idea of a gig economy is what kept me from pursuing animation after I was trained for it. My social anxiety couldn't hack it, & creatives deserve better (I am so ridiculously proud of all of you.❤️)
You can tell things are bad in a country when Amnesty International has to put up petitions to help people in it. The US congress better hurry up with that 25th Amendment.

So gorgeously intricate!❤️
