This. TBC, the reason my family won't support anything HP-related is NOT because I have some grand moral view that it's only acceptable to support work created by good people. It's because she is literally, publicly using the $ from her books/show/games/etc to do bad things that hurt people I love.

If you know all this and still add value to it? I guess you being a "bad person" is a matter for the philosophers, but you're certainly participating in something bad.

Actors lending their talents to the new show and the studio dumping money into it are all making your exact argument to justify their own participation while forking money over to a person who spends every day talking about how cruel she's going to be with the wealth.

Look I genuinely think you're trying to make this argument in good faith and that socmed has us drawing lines based on art consumption, but her being such an extreme example is kind of the point.
