i'm reminded of the parallels drawn between them in... shizuku's initial 3 star card? with the conversation concerning being seen for who [shizuku] really is. where shizuku is further along in finding that true self, but they are quite similar in ways others might not expect. it's good.

while lil' mafuyu helps maf see past a haze only she perceives, and as it turns out, the latter has drawn up she mafuyu doesn't want to see/is trying to abandon her feelings, even subconsciously.

....something something how in their bloomfes cards lil' shizuku helps see a burden she has surpassed, and thus can't perceive anymore (the heavy atmosphere, the puddles she might end up tripping in)...

What i'm getting from shizuku bloom fes is girl could be literally any youkai and make it work. She just Has that vaguely supernatural vibe.
