Our couple’s therapist is getting more comfortable with us and diving deeper into some recurring themes. Today she focused on our own self-worth and that we shouldn’t define it based on capitalistic ideologies. I felt really good about today. First time I’ve been looking forward to the next one. 😌

Went to a fancy Dutch Bros. that has indoor seating.

I still get anxious around certain tight curves, and I ride slower and a lot less often now than I used to. I am a lot more choosy on what rides I’ll go on. I don’t think I’ll ever fully give it up though. There is risk every time you get on a bike, but the thrill and freedom is still worth it.

I didn’t get back on my older bike I still had until a month after my broken thumb fully healed. I didn’t want to rush anything, and most of my attention was on managing pain while working at my job, and dealing with the insurance.

I totaled my bike and I grieved that for a while (still do tbh, I really miss that bike). I had a trip planned to Hawaii with Kole for my birthday shortly after, and I was well enough to still travel. The sun and sea air really helped to heal my bruised body and mental state.
