That said, Resident Evil 7 and 4 (or 4 Remake) are better games. They're near-perfect. Now I need to try to get through the remakes of 0-3 as I own them and have been meaning to play them for a good while.

Just finished Resident Evil Requiem and loved it. I will say that scares were unfortunately more scarce in the second half, but overall I felt it is a very strong entry for the series. Loved the balance of the RE7-style survival horror with Grace and RE4-style action horror with Leon.

Submitted a fun story cowritten with my dude, @njdarkish.bsky.social and the whole cowriting process is rad AF
Few things are fun as writing with one of your best homies (who is also a great writer).
A great pleasure of mine last year was terrifying my son (who asked for a scary story for Halloween) with a dramatic reading of the Big Toe story
The accuracy
I saw Tim Curry trending and panicked- thankfully, it's to wish him a happy birthday.
Meme: which is the doctor? A is Donald Trump being a dumbass B is me in a Gengar hat and scrubs
Walter White screaming in car meme: TOBIAS NO! TOBIAS PLEASE YOU HAVE TO MORPH BACK! TOBIAS IT'S BEEN 2 HOURS! PLEASE TOBIAS! MORPH BACK!
New Hellraiser looks sick
As a former ska musician, can confirm
Every generation needs its Galaxy Quest: a movie that, despite every individual element screaming that it can't be good, is actually good
The second one feels very different in that it's post-apocalyptic, but both are rad

I can't help but notice that most of the people commenting on the original post are much more into art house stuff than me. That said, I definitely love to hear about where I need to be expanding my horizons, because so often when I venture out on my own I end up feeling underwhelmed.
Godzilla Minus One
aaaand The Life of Chuck, Oddity, Sinners, Across the Spider-Verse, Weird: The Al Yankovic Story, The Batman, Host, His House, Anything for Jackson, Superman, The Suicide Squad, Dune 1 & 2, Spider-Man: No Way Home, Prey, Alien: Romulus, D&D, Evil Dead Rise, Longlegs
It’s profoundly ignorant to suggest that the Pope should be fighting crime on behalf of the Catholic Church. Anyone who was remotely familiar with Roman Catholicism would know that that’s what Daredevil is for
This book kicks ass
I definitely agree on some of these more controversial takes. Like Mass Effect: Andromeda!
If you could experience any video game again for the first time, what would it be?
For me, it would have to be Chrono Trigger. The story is so epic, the gameplay is perfect, and the music is one of the best game soundtracks out there.
Tech issues threw things for a loop for giving a presentation on Frankenstein to the Utah HWA chapter tonight. I guess everybody will have to wait until next month to hear my very real explanation of why Mewtwo is one of the most book-accurate depictions of The Creature.

Finally got my hands on Resident Evil Requiem (birthday gift from my siblings) and 4 hours in it's already much, much scarier than Village. The blend of Grace and Leon sections is a brilliant way to give us both scares and over-the-top action. I am very impressed so far, excited to play more.
I keep thinking about that Bradbury story, "There Will Come Soft Rains." It's dated for August 2026. You were off by four months, Ray.

I was especially chuffed that my son immediately wanted to draw Rocky this morning.
Saw Project Hail Mary in theaters yesterday with my wife and 9-year-old son (who is obsessed with engineering). We all loved it. I felt it did a wonderful job faithfully adapting the novel, and seeing Rocky on the screen was such a charming delight.
Five books to get to know me by:
1. The Hobbit
2. We Have Always Lived in the Castle
3. V for Vendetta
4. 11/22/63
5. Let's Pretend This Never Happened
Can I just say that writing with @drspookyer.bsky.social is so damn fun?
You would count on a submission from me!
