Taylor Swift donated more to Food Banks in Canada than Galen Weston this year, pause on that.

Remember, mourn, organize, take action.

December 6 is the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women in Canada.

This day marks the anniversary of the massacre in 1989 of 14 young women at l’École Polytechnique de Montréal.

They died because they were women.

Today is Transgender Day of Remembrance. Each year, the trans community loses too many lives, especially trans women of color, to hate and violence.

More than ever, we must stand by our trans family and support them, hold space for them, and insist the scapegoating and targeting stop.

Now.

Libraries, providing free information to everyone, are the bedrock of a free society.

And a shoutout to all the librarians out there! Thank you for all you do!!!

It's not a difference of political opinions if the opposing side's opinion is that you aren't human or shouldn't exist. That's not how anything works.

Never forget this. The forces rigging our economy, undermining our democracy, polluting our planet, and stoking hatred are counting on you to give up. Cynicism is how they win. Stay clear-eyed and ready for the fight ahead.

Medical and public health colleagues, we need to do something about this “I have walking pneumonia” confusion.

Patients say, “I hear there’s a lot of walking pneumonia right now.”

What do they think it is caused by?

Pneumonia is caused by bacteria or viruses. Covid is a virus.

Also, mask up, eh.

I need people to understand this. Far too many folks think that if healthcare workers aren’t masking - it means the threat has passed.

No - it means they’re resistant to change.

It took decades to get them to adopt handwashing - and the person who advocated for it was written off as mentally ill

There is no cure for Long Covid.

Repeat infections raise your risk of developing Long Covid.

If you have Long Covid, repeat infections put you at risk of worsened Long Covid.

Breaking down myths of progressing “post-pandemic:” Careful COVID-19 reporting is still crucial Here’s how to debunk common perceptions of the virus, where to find data, and why it remains an important equity issue.

"Journalists may want to be done with COVID-19, but the virus isn’t done with us — or the communities we live in and report on. It is a disservice to people’s health and lives to mischaracterize or inaccurately report on COVID-19.”
