Again I ask for a Mamdani w kids account. There is so much natural joy in those photos and we need joy so much.

This is your reminder that it's been ten months since the assassination of Melissa Hortman, her husband and her dog, and there hasn't been even a hint of justice for her family, friends or colleagues.
Honestly, if anyone attends it says so much more about them than me.
Let's keep putting more in his way
This reads a little dated now: shouldn't she be experiencing guilt for supplying Bezos with more money to use against democracy?
If his was intended as a lure to make me check your page to see if you posted it a few hours later, well, then, it worked.
In so many ways dystopia is already here.
So I guess we need to start acting like heroes of dystopian novels.
That's lovely
I googled, and there is one, about women being fired first anyway: Die gläserne Klippe
I think the German word for the rest of the cabinet is just dummkopf
I keep thinking that, but then I keep getting hurt
I was trying to explain the principle of enshittification to my 92 year-old mother & not sure if I did it well. Would you consider planned obsolescence an enshittification practice? How would you define?
I love Jorts, but wow am I glad not to live with the extensive evening screaming. That just sounds horrible.
I'm completely here for criticizing the heck out of the entitled billionaire culture (even the ones who aren't in tech).
Oh!!!! Many thanks!! This is wonderful!
Strong agree
Could watch this all day.
Also, for babies I do "beep, beep" w a little tickle.
I've always wanted to do springtime in Paris so that's what comes to mind first.
Remember the "Obama plus kids account". I think they should start one for Mamdani, who has the same natural connection.
Can you even imagine a photo of Trump interacting w a child?
Good reminder. I should stop by there tomorrow. I've never done that catacombs and always mean to. Maybe this year will be the year.
Yes, one of the Dereks. He was the Love Boat photographer.
Haven't seen "A Shot in the Dark" & the science fiction one b/c it didn't look like my type of thing.
Three of these are movies I really love and two are movies I've never heard of, so I'm now going to look them up.
Same. This week's was particularly good.
I learned this week that one of the actors on Shrinking (great show) was on that decades ago and now I want to watch an episode with him in it.
I haven't thought of "What's my Line" which I liked as a kid. Are these streaming?
We watched "Spaceballs" tonight. My husband, who was high at the time, picked it. Fun to see some of the actors, especially John Candy. The humor that was supposed to be shocking seemed quaint.
Wait, his name is Masyn? Like was he named after the baseball station (MASN)? Because that's some first rate planning.
"The Impossible Fortune" as great as Osman always is.
For kicks I picked up an old Sidney Sheldon "The Doomsday Conspiracy." A fun read, though the premise reallly doesn't work for 2026. Picture of aliens would have been all over social media. The discussion of press busses made me sad.
"The Beast in the Clouds: The Roosevelt Brothers' Deadly Quest to Find the Mythical Giant Panda" was excellent. Great writing, well researched, fascinating combination of natural history & travel & bio. Also, great to read before bed, just the right kind of nonfiction to distract me to sleep.
Also liked @emergencychampagne.bsky.social's "Maggie: Or A Man and a Woman Walk Into a Bar." Clever & often funny, but dark topics of divorce & cancer (personally triggered by some of the portrayal of that). But the scenes with the best friend were great.
