Saw the Mario Galaxy movie but the book was better

Reminder that you don't have to be a Mario fan to know that the Super Mario Galaxy Movie has massive flaws that prevent someone like me from fully enjoying it. Both Mario movies have floundered potential to be much more than they really are.

Hilarious that this shot of Mario sleeping under the tree clearly paralleling the ultimate twist of Rosalina's story just meant nothing. There is no tree. There is no Rosalina backstory. Fuck off bro.

This is cute in isolation But I'm worried that miyamoto's final contributions to art is just shoving a bunch of references into things. Maybe I'm just bummed by the Mario Movie reviews but he was so proud of the supposed bad pacing he made it a selling point
