How hot would it have been when it hit the water? I imagine the thermal shock must be huge

Ooooohhh, can you please link some papers? I have been roundly berated by nursing staff for not giving acetaminophen to febrile children. I've even been berated for not giving it to a kid I intubated for complex febrile convulsions with aspiration hypoxia and so on 🤷

Check out Dresden, they have some pretty cool stuff, and very reasonable prices

ANZCTR - Registration

Cheers! One recent patient (first echo) did happen to brady down: already had some metaraminol drawn up, gave some while epi drawn up, good effect 🤷
We're currently enrolling suspected cardiogenic shock to epi/norepi www.anzctr.org.au/Trial/Regist...

Aside from getting between ribs being hard, my biggest peeve with IQ+ is the cable. Wireless would be so much more convenient

I wonder if #GEHealthcare would like to sponsor a poor paramedic with a Vscan Air SL 🤔
Definitely more info is always good so I always try.
I'd look for DVT in the unexplained tachy/SOB etc pt if I don't see anything on echo. Usually they are obviously sick when I see them tho, so I don't bother

Every now and then I surprise myself with a nice echo! It's always hard not being able to get pt in right position in ambulance, and the IQ+ isn't ideal for cardiac windows. I don't tend to look for DVT: by the time I see them it's not a good use of time.

Hi Josh, curious about the choice between epi/norepi? Have had some very sick PEs recently (prehospital) & have gone with norepi to avoid flogging an empty LV. Don't know there is a great option but would love more insight into managing sick, acute PE before lysis (scans are hard in moving truck!)

Those are gorgeous. Wish I wasn't a giant chungus and could wear them!

Sure, but if you go around helping people, things might get a little bit better, and then where would we be. Didn't think about that, did you?

That's well under way though Seth.
Oh wait, the season, not the fall of society

No straight blades, but I think one of the styles is a sort of hybrid? Didn't really look at the small human version unfortunately so I'm not entirely sure!

No COI, we use McGrath, but I have evaluated the adult version and it is significantly better than the McGrath IMO.
