It's worth noting that, after D-Day was pushed back due to weather, *General* Eisenhower summoned military leadership and weather experts for an hours-long assessment of trying again on June 6. It weighed heavily on him. He actually cared about the troops.

Coyote vs. Acme, a movie with Roger Rabbit vibes, a great cast, and beautiful animation is going to further cement that Zaslav has no clue what he's doing. This is going to be a late summer hit.
What a horror story. Big problem is that, in a lot of communities - especially rural - Target, Walmart, and Amazon are the only options. We need to bust up monopolies and find a way to create real choice, real competition again. It's good for consumers and employees.
You're right. So draw up articles of impeachment. Take a stand through action. Posting your concerns is not meeting the moment, @repcasar.bsky.social. Take action and dare Republicans to vote against it.
This was a really fun experience and interview! Rooting for this show.
I'd also like to vouch for Chicago (though Santa Fe is also nice). I moved to Chicago from LA in 2010. Chicago is beautiful, the people are amazing, cost of living is below LA, easy to get around, terrific food, and a great film scene. Maybe zip out for a weekend this summer to check it out!
So incredibly crushed to hear of the passing of Sam Kieth. His perspective in art and storytelling was unique and unmatched. Forever grateful for The Maxx.
Man, I was just at my Ward 1 polling place and it was a ghost town. Great, friendly group of volunteers ready to get you through. If you haven’t voted yet, get down there! This is our moment. Let’s pick the right candidates and get everything back on track!
THREAD: I got laid off from NYMag/Vulture after 14 years. The family lost 75% of income + medical. Now mzs.press bookstore, once a side project. is do-or-die for Judith & I. I feel weird telling you this because others are doing much worse. But if you could like or share this, we'd be so grateful!
If you're like me and enjoyed The Bride! and are seeking more bride films, I made a bride horror comedy that you can watch on Amazon or Tubi - Bride of the Killer Piñata.
Except all of the instances where people offered to show ICE their ID (like the Target employee in MN) and ICE simply refused to let them do that.
Signal boosting this. They’re close to their goal - let’s help this horror icon.
Psycho II. Not only a pitch perfect story, but also some of the most iconic imagery associated with Psycho, it’s a miracle of a film, considering that it was following The Beatles.
They are SO GOOD. I’m actually picking up the Omnibus today. They released two volumes last year. Such a good series.
Folks, this is one of the best low budget horror franchises going. Let’s keep it that way.
Goddamn you, 2026, not Catherine O'Hara. RIP to a comedy legend.
Wild to read that Raimi is having a hard time financing his Darkman sequel in this IP-driven world. He has a solid track record as a producer, and Darkman has only grown more popular with time. Maybe a great weekend for Send Help will give it the push it needs.
I personally think that this is the best “bride” movie in that sub genre. It’s the only one where the bride character has agency of her own and is the true main character. Funny, schlocky, right up there with Re-Animator in terms of midnight movie perfection.
Stuart Gordon’s Dolls.
I'm a Battle Cat fan, so I'm all in for the new He-Man. But what I enjoyed the most about today's trailer drop was reading the endless comments of people sharing fond memories of watching the show with their fathers, uncles, older brothers, etc, who are no longer here. Just loving a thing.
I recently backed Off Panel on Patreon. If you’re a fan, a creator, both, this is a great comics podcast. Highly recommended.
I’ve never seen a brand purposely commit suicide like MTV. They traded in being the center of the cultural universe for cheap reality shows. If anything, they were in the best position to evolve.
This is how we end Christmas Eve in this house. Merry Christmas, everyone.
I am so heartbroken to hear this. I only knew him through our exchanges on this platform - especially about Crypt - and he was so great to talk to. Please let his family know how much joy he brought to the community and that same community is here for them as well.
Also, we’re working to get the original KP back on Tubi. We just got the distribution rights back, so it’s taking a minute to transfer everything over.
For sure!
Oh wow - it's true, KP is 10 today, haha. Every day has been a joy. Thanks for the write up, Frank! That was a fun read. To answer some questions - we did premiere it at the Logan Theater. For Bride, Full Moon didn't help, but Richard Band did. He was incredibly kind and helpful.
I love this. One trip highlight to New Zealand was getting to see the remaining Feebles puppets up close.
You just know that Rush Hour 4 is going to end with them accepting an invitation to the White House to be congratulated by President Trump so he can get his dumb cameo in.
Whistles are good. Also, mask, goggles, and gloves, just in case. And then it’s just kind of playing hunches. Here they started with Home Depot and Walmart, then cruised around targeting day laborers, before targeting the schools.
