It only took 30 years but we finally have Windy's #Suikoden 1 portrait art! Thank you, uh, V Jump Books - Game Series - Genso Suikoden from January 1996.

You'd be surprised at some of the origins for these images. Take #Suikoden 1 Neclord. From the S1 108 Stars Character Guide, right? Nope, too small, non-stars each have to share a page. From the Genso Suikoden Encyclopaedia? Overlaps with his S2 art. Windows 95 instruction manual though? Bingo.

We're updating our #Suikoden 1 character images over on Gensopedia. A lot of nice details were lost in much older scans and Kawano's S1 work rarely gets the same attention as other games, so check it out!

The English localization of episode 3 of #Suikoden STAR LEAP: Trails of the Stars is now up on Comic Walker. It will be available until June, when the English localization of episode 4 drops. comic-walker.com/detail/KC_00...

(The reason 410px was the original standard? Because that's the height of the character images on the official Japanese websites for Suikoden 1 and 2 back then!)

Back in 2008, the height for character images was 410px. That grew to 600px by 2015 and has doubled to 1200px since then!

With our new scans and better color grading we hope you can see more details and find them easier to use in your own projects!

Hou is from the Island Nations, as revealed in this month's chapter of #Suikoden STAR LEAP: Trails of the Stars.

So I guess he's not Geil Rugner.... But now my new, even more true, theory is that he's Ferid and Bernadette's brother.

Chapter 2 of #Suikoden STAR LEAP: Trails of the Stars is out in Japan and this time it looks like Shapur is doing a number on poor Hallec's people.
