If you watch live concert from that time, he spends almost no time or attention on anyone else in the band, but he and Wendy are always glancing back and forth and she’s holding her own ground, despite the fact that she was only 19 when she joined

Been on a Prince kick as of late, both the old stuff and some of the later material, and I am convinced that the best musical relationship he had was with Wendy in the Revolution, she restrained some of his more self indulgent ambitions. Just look at them in the video for “Kiss”
Lol I actually agree with that, I’ve missed two flights in my life, but generally, I don’t spend much time at the airport and I’m always trying to cut it as close as possible
Of course, unfortunately one of those times my wife was along
I foresee them having difficulty getting the timing right on that one
Work: Use AI! Make your work more efficient! But don’t trust it! Double check everything that comes out of it!
Me: So basically you want me to review the work of a shifty intern every day
GIBBY HAYNES We used to go into the Banshees’ dressing room and take the Gouda off their deli tray so that we could say we stole Siouxsie and the band’s cheese. It’s a pun—the highest form of humor.
The Butthole Surfers are culture
Domestic production up in the same sectors where imports are up.
“This stealth recovery, though, isn’t because of tariffs. Instead, credit goes to the most basic economic force of all: demand. The U.S. is good at making things that happen to be in big demand right now.”
I like the two gas stations that I fill up at too much to do this to them, one of them serves as my mechanic for both cars, the other one as my quick hit for Cuban coffee
Hunt for red October
It’s glorious
Man, I wasn’t warned about any of these things. We were supposed to give money to the nuns that were protesting the school of the Americas because they kept landing in jail but they were righteous, and otherwise shut up and learn your catechism
Hey @whysharksmatter.bsky.social what’s the plan here
Holy SHIT someone found the test pressing of Robert Johnson's Cross Road Blues and it is clear as a PIN www.openculture.com/2026/04/reco...
Yeah, but all of us were using third-party Twitter apps back then
Cannon Beach on Key Largo
Key Largo, baby why don’t we go
Oh, I remember this and how disturbing it was
I would apologize for spoiling it, but it’s Colombo, you find this out in the first 10 minutes
Hell, you can go back to the 70s for the IRA stuff, there was an episode of Colombo where the killer was an IRA fundraiser visiting Los Angeles
Good. It struck me as rather cold at the time. I moved there from North Carolina where people seem to rove around freely at drinking establishments, and I found it jarring. Hell, I’ve walked into bars alone in New York and walked out knowing the names of 10 people.
During my decade in Oregon, “leave me/us alone” seems a pretty succinct description of the way most people seemed to operate at bars there
I seldom noticed people interact with anyone they had not arrived with which is quite different from the East Coast
I think there were 8000 students or so when I went there in the 90s. Not a big alum base.
Kind of surprised my alma mater (#GoDucks) isn’t on there but as has been said it’s better to have one wealthy alum who actually understands the business of sports rather than that hundreds who think they do
[Dow jumps another eight points]
Remembering playing Napalm Death around a girlfriend of mine from western NC circa 1992 and she was like “honey. This music is very scary. Please stop playing it.”
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
If only there were some way to prevent measles
Now I want to listen to the Pogues
My wife would totally wear them here if you could put chill packs inside
Wait, why hasn’t anyone invented that for women who live in the southwest or Southeast
