I was in the mini park across from my job interview this morning. There was a woman angrily chasing pigeons away from a bush. She gave up after like 20 minutes and lit up a cigarette while leaving the park. Good vibes.

McD's in Sweden went the opposite direction and removed the hash browns completely and it makes angry.
Slop mimes are indeed unsettling
Any completionist type thing. 97% of secrets found, or like these key items. Dungeons of Hinterberg had morning/noon/evening/night, but because that telegraphed the game phase.
Nothing tickles the ego quite like using an actual drill to make more holes in a belt so it can hold your pants up.
Clay quarter cylinder painted to approximate the WB water tower
Clay quarter cylinder painted to approximate the WB water tower. Shot from a low angle to show the 3D-ness
We went to a clay sculpting/painting event tonight, and I made a water tower to put behind my Animaniacs figures.
Grainy photo of a TV during the credits, showing four roles. Ayla Allison and Everley Barr Trapp were "Concerned lady daughters." Jake Kennerd was "Casino cheater." But the middle credit, the reason for this photo, has Jacqueline Loewen as "Arcade counter human."
Kinda jealous of Jacqueline Loewen for having "Arcade counter human" available for their resume from Nobody 2.
Happy St. Patrick's Day, New York.
This is the first one angling to convince me to turn it on. The one on the right is a masterpiece.
Is The Bride! the second movie to have Frank dance to Putting On The Ritz, after Young Frankenstein? Or are there others?
My ex-Catholic brain still gripes that they changed "and also with you" to "and with your spirit." Despite the fact that I had stopped going long before the change happened.
The Olympics can be so inspiring.

Overhead shot of a couch. Human's legs stretched out under a blanket, pressed against the back cushions. A grey and white cat takes up a good portion of the last cushion, her back paws stretched out towards the human's feet, which startled away from them. There is a pair of child-size costume dragon wings laying on the armrest.
Foggy and I were competing for Big Stretch space during our naps. She won.
Completed Lego One Piece pirate ship. Centered under the light, held by me. On the windowsill, you can see a stack of books, the top two are Accomplice to the Villain by Hannah Nicole Maehrer and Twelve Months by Jim Butcher. Both of which have been started, but not completed yet.
I burned through this today. And still managed to take my oldest out to the mall and made dinner and did a full run of the dishes.
I love ours, but it took way too much effort to install. It had a different connector that didn't actually fit our toilet, so many trips to the hardware store were needed to try to cobble something together.
Park bench in front of a baby poop green plywood wall. On the bench there is an empty bottle of chardonnay and three spaced out lollipops with smiley emoji wrappers on them
Not at all suspect.
With my wallet and phone, they're slipping a little, so I'll need a belt?!
Like, I knew I'd been losing a ridiculous amount of weight. 30kg and counting. But buying new pants at size 36 waist when what I wore into the store was 42 held up with suspenders. wat
WAFFLE RECIPE Vanilla waffles 150g butter or margarine 200g sugar Vanilla sugar 1/2 tsp salt 250g plain flour 1 scant tsp baking powder 1-2 Tbsp cream Milk How to make: Combine the butter, sugar, salt, vanilla sugar, flour, baking powder and cream. Mix well. Add milk until your batter has the right consistency. If you want to use eggs in the batter, mix these in together with the other ingredients. The recipe does not say what the right consistency is, how much milk or vanilla sugar to use (or what that even is) or how many eggs would be recommended.
Whoever wrote the recipe that came with my waffle maker went from incredibly precise to vague and not helpful across the ingredient list and 4 sentence recipe. Exact grams of butter/sugar/flour, then Milk. And maybe eggs, if you want.
Failing to convince my youngest that KFC is not "a pharmacy where you eat food."
Paths attempted include:
- that's not a thing
- KFC doesn't sell medicine
- food isn't a medicine
- places where you sit down and eat are called restaurants
I tried getting my meds upped last year about this. But after listing the things I was anxious about, I was denied because "those are totally reasonable things to be anxious about."
Stress and depression hitting hard enough that trying to get a drip of joy out of anything feels like trying to squeeze water out of a rock. To the point that starting anything seems like a colossal waste of time.
Screenshot from the PS app showing the platinum trophy for Ghost of Yōtei, Legendary Onryō, achieved earlier today. The picture is the Onryō mask in white with gold teeth; ringed by twin wolf heads, one red and one black; with a golden ring sprouting ginkgo leaves.
I enjoyed Ghost of Yōtei so much. @erikaishii.bsky.social killed it as Atsu.
I had trouble finding the Gator of the Year edition on PS5 just searching the store. It was hiding behind the PS4/PS5 version such that couldn't see it, or that it was on sale, until you clicked to add the PS4/PS5 version to your cart.
The parental urge to get a sitter so I can go to bed early.
Bus shelter in Sweden. Blue sky with sparse clouds above it. Cars driving by towards the camera on the street to the right of the shelter, and a snow drift in front of a building to the left. A large green advertisement on the shelter has a giant 67 in white taking up the top half. Under that, also in white, is Swedish text framing the 67 meme as talk about the new retirement age. The ad is for Svensk Hypotekspension.
"There has been a lot of talk about the new retirement age..."
A concrete dock runs along the top of the frame. There is an emergency ladder between two of the pillars. The water beneath the dock is full of chunks of ice. Big hearty pieces that were bashed apart by previous ferries. The ones closest to the dock have started freezing together again.
So here's a picture of the icy water
