Sandy Alcantara, Cy Young winner, doesn’t sound like a distant memory anymore…

Seeing someone else chew gum never bothered me before in my life until I watched Chase Meidroth at bat just now.
Although I'm a Marlins fan who grew up in Miami, I'm old enough that I watched baseball before the Marlins existed. 😮
Braves were my team, mainly thanks to TBS. I watched almost every game that horrible mid-80s team played and damn if I don't love these throwbacks (even if they're not the same)!
You're right that he should be the guy and is the only one I'd somewhat trust but they seem to want to keep him in a setup role, maybe simply because he's a lefty.
Pagan had at least some closing experience before. None of the Cards' options make me feel remotely safe.
The Matt Svanson hype as a potential closing sleeper is dead but moreover I think the Cardinals' bullpen is one I'm avoiding all season like I did with the Rangers last year. They just don't have a ninth-inning guy.
Kyle Harrison gives up a solo shot in the first but then strikes out the side. That revamped changeup looks legit - he caught the lower outside corner to whiff Williamson.
And just like that Ponce has killed himself on the baseball diamond trying to make a routine play.
Can the Blue Jays ask for a refund?
Cody Ponce making a highlight-worthy play but not the kind he wanted 😆
Almost forgot how much I enjoy doing livestreams because it's been a few weeks since football ended.
Anyone interested in the top two-start streamers for fantasy baseball next week can watch it back here:

I kind of love this Marlins team…
This could be the year he reaches 50
2 homers already. Could we see Royce Lewis healthy and good at the same time for more than a week?
*jinx
Thought Mick Abel was lined up to make two starts this coming week so seeing him pitch in relief today is disappointing.
Okamoto batting cleanup vs a lefty. Love to see it
Well that didn’t take long…
Figured Latz would get his shot and here we go.
Marlins’ perfect season manifesting
Nice AB by Owen Caissie. Not just that it was an RBI double but it came against a lefty and he had a patient approach.
Dave Parker. Every time he came to bat, you knew he wanted to do damage to the baseball.
This is a disappointing development that must be corrected soon
Although I’ve always found it annoying that every team doesn’t play the first game at the same time any more, I appreciate that Marlins-Rockies didn’t deserve to be part of actual Opening Day.
Things are going so well that Phillies will put Zack Wheeler on an official rehab assignment Saturday with Triple-A Lehigh Valley. Three innings.
Should be no surprise or outrage. In fact, don’t be shocked if he’s still not up by July unless he is absolutely dominating in the minors.
He’ll likely come back up soon but Snelling still has more upside even if his turn isn’t imminent.
First time since I can remember, I didn’t do a bracket. I’m so out of the loop on college hoops that it would be like throwing darts. There aren’t as many upsets as there used to be either.
Damn I’m getting old…
Terrible news about another young pitcher going down.
Fallout is that Roupp’s rotation spot is secure and Whisenhunt may have a chance to work his way up.
Feels like tomorrow will be a good day to break this out…
Hunter Greene out until July doesn’t make him completely undraftable but he’s basically right there with Gerrit Cole - a late-round stash in leagues with multiple IL spots.
The World Baseball Classic always makes me a schizophrenic fan.
My dad is Cuban, mom’s family is Dutch, but they married in Puerto Rico where my sisters were born. Oh and my wife is Mexican. 🙃
Not a shock. Expecting big things from Smith.
Updated draft results from TGFBI, 14 rounds in.
So, I lied about not drafting another pitcher until Rd 20. Or at least rethought my strategy.
