With 35,000+ on the waitlist, Newham Council under police investigation for serious housing fraud, and the first to have been given the worst possible rating by the independent Regulator for Social Housing, this will be a top priority for Green Party Councillors and a Green Mayor of Newham.

It is increasingly clear that the other parties contesting this election either have no plan or no credibility.

As I said last night, Labour seem to think the biggest issue facing our borough right now is car parking. This is nonsense. The biggest issue facing our borough is the housing crisis.

I have spent a lot of time personally considering the many asks community organisations and campaign groups have asked us to pledge to and many of them are reflected in our manifesto, 'A Newham we can be proud of'.

We are the only party that came to the Assembly with a plan for Newham.
