I think the presentation of the 'real world vs. inner world' could've been handled with more finesse, and to a lesser extent some of the other psychological concepts as well—my boyfriend described it as "Lynch without the subtlety"—but by and large it was a good time.

My reading of the film is obviously influenced by my experiences, wherein the "this is a movie about DID" reading feels very textual to me specifically, but I think even beyond that it is very obviously a film about the inherent horror of mapping one's mind in the wake of trauma.
