Welp. No quick Florida getaway for us. We waited for close to 4 hours at BWI airport today, and still never got close to security. Missed our flight, and unable to find any more flights today. We will not go through this again tomorrow, so we are bagging it.

Poor little one is wiped out. I found out that our vet did not get her a specific booster vaccine and she spent the day alone, sequestered from the other pups! And no one called. One of the vet techs drove to the doggie daycare to give her the missing shot (bc they knew they were in the wrong)!

So I texted the adult kids and after juggling some things in their schedules, they worked out a plan to share the puppy care while we are gone. I am so grateful for them. I should have asked them first, but they are both so busy, I didn’t want to ask. Lesson learned. #happypuppy

We were supposed to board Clover at a reputable place for a few days. Today she had a free doggie daycare trial day to acclimate. She was a wreck when we picked her up. When I asked to see the kennels, they said I needed to schedule a tour (but that’s not what the website says). NOPE. 👎

Had a wonderful day taking high school students to a YA conference at a gorgeous college campus. They met 5 prominent YA authors, received free books (and have some signed by the attending authors), and attended workshops. Bonus: my daughter works at the campus library, so I got a visit from her!
