all except Mill House were put back at the same position as the one they replaced - the Mill House bench had been under the oak tree that had OPM last year and the new bench has been placed away from that tree

4 benches have been replaced on the Common - these photos were taken today (7th May 2025) at the Gunsite, One Island, Mill House and Seven Islands (path near entrance at Commonside East and Manor Road)

This 50 sec video shows the Mitcham Common by the Croydon Road where a family of kestrels was observed last year. This path could also be part of a 'parkrun' that could see around 500 people running along it (twice) every Saturday morning. Should Mitcham Common be a parkrun site?

Tomorrow, Wednesday 22 January, London Universities and Colleges Athletics (LUCA) will be holding their annual run on Mitcham Common. The circuit will be on that part of the Common east of Windmill Road and between Commonside East and Croydon Road.
