I enjoyed it but I'll always be sad they threw everything RE7's reboot did, bar the camera. That reinvented the series, this carefully recreates it. Complete with a few whiffs of Village's cartoonishness, and some of the camp of 5 and 6.

Resident Evil Requiem is good and an interesting mix of things. Grace's sections are basically classic Resi in first person, and Leon's bits are just Resident Evil 4 2. It's got proper horror with sense of humour, great puzzles and a good mix of pace and variety too.
