🚨 🧠
We have a new preprint out where we studied which brain networks are engaged during mental imagery and self-generated thought.
We used a precision fMRI approach along with multidimensional experience sampling (mDES) to get trialwise self-reports from each participant about what they imagined.

Cutting off grants to academia, pausing clinical trials, etc., is key to this administration’s plan to kill higher education. Targeting intellectuals is textbook fascism.

Donate to Celebrating the Life of James S. Brown, organized by Trevon Hill
Celebrating the Life of James S. Brown (November 23, 1993 - January 3, 2025)
It… Trevon Hill needs your support for Celebrating the Life of James S. Brown
James was a PhD student in neuroscience at FSU, and his recent death was devastating for those who knew and loved him. He was extremely bright, motivated, and a strong advocate for marginalized people in STEM. This fundraiser is for his mom, who must be in so much pain right now. #neuroskyence

Excited to share a new paper just out in
@currentbiology.bsky.social. We show that patterns of prediction error signals in human midbrain carry reward identity information, with implications for the kinds of learning these error signals support. Check it out!
