So like you can just be hired by BBC Sport even though you clearly never work because youβre just *online forever*??? The BBC is so unserious. If you told me someone is hired by the BBC and I canβt get to their previous dayβs posts in about two swipes Iβd call you a liar
Went and peeped Martinaβs profile out of curiosity and she justβ¦ posts all day long. Like. Itβs hard to find more than a 20 minute gap. Itβs actually jaw dropping lmao. Like I literally could not be paid to be as miserably online as these freaks. And they lord it around like theyβre βnormalβ π³
*stumbles in, wild-eyed and feral*
*staggers over to the nearest screen*
Boards of Canada released a new track.

Grew up down south, very London, very Sussex, have said βweeβ my entire life (Irish-blooded family?) and it really confuses people they think Iβm copying the Scots in my adopted homeland. I am not! Iβve always been like this π a wee bit Celtic maybe a wee bit Pictish! Who knows!
I occasionally get accused of having an American twang but I think thatβs born out of me pronouncing specifically American things as they sound. Iβm not going to say Jack-arse am I? Sounds nuts π₯΄ itβs Jackass. I say it how I first heard it ππ»ββοΈ neurodivergent problems (?)
Somewhere between an RP London accent and a Brighton accent with probably some Scottish twinges that have snuck in without me noticing (Iβve been here for 13 years!).
I confuse people a lot, recently, one lady asked if I was from New Zealand π thatβs a new one!
Iβm in safe hands ππ» my sister in law is a hairdresser itβs just this unavoidable part of the process Iβm gonna have to suck it up and if itβs too much to handle I know what I can go back to π
Iβm growing my hair down from β¨funky short and shaved sidesβ¨ to π€shoulder length easy breezyπ€ but unfortunately I have to face the Five Phases of Karen inbetween and Iβve just reached phase 1 ππ help
Lmao what did I do??
This makes me wonder: what is the strangest recession indicator that you are sure of?
The most obscure thing that you're *sure* is a recession indicator, something which you don't hear basically anyone else mention?
Another one! Theyβre trying me every three hours π
Friend and I were bitching about this yesterday. I thought trains were meant to tempt us away from our cars but even if this insane oil economy - itβs still cheaper to beetle around on a tank of petrol π
Glad thereβs this new screening feature on iPhones now because what the fuck is thisβ¦
(Thanks for the completely unneeded apostrophes on βchecksβ autocorrect I feel like a greengrocer now)
Ah yes but JD Vance is *checkβs notes* white and *checkβs noteβs again* in Bibiβs pocket π
I also hope everyone sees (and hears) these videos so people stay on the alert and βhell no!β the planning permission
I hope the rates of data centres built near housing that go up in flames becomes too great for these chuds to ignore. With technology the way it is I fear we canβt escape these things being built but we need to make it so unattractive for them to even try it near peopleβs homes.
Extremely strong character design, love them β₯οΈ
Can someone point me in the direction of the explanation for that super colourful moon picture from the Artemis II expedition? Why moon so colour?? I keep only seeing folk excited about it but no big reveal on what photography was used to get that effect π
*talking to teenage militant atheist self*
current me: okay so thereβs a big fight between the government and the catholic church
teenage me: got it, so weβre obviously on the side of the government
current me: I, uh, you might want to sit down for this one
The extremely weird Australian was a bold move but yes, I would love to see them all try and cope around a weegie
I couldnβt last five seconds around Bob Mortimer. The silliest goose in all the land and absolutely shameless about it - complete kryptonite to anyone with a funny bone!
And in true comedian fashion, often the things that took out the heavy hitters were the throwaway sprinkles of silly. Ruth the Seagull and Chadwick ffs π (iykyk!). Anyway, just a great show and lifted my heart. Gbemiβs silent tears make me stop in my tracks to giggle every time I think about it π
I felt a sense of gender equality in the room too, the women cracked up the men in equal measure. Itβs almost like genuinely funny comedians are so secure in their own humour they revel in the humour of others around them without getting weird about it.
I really enjoyed Last One Laughing UK 2 (will have to go back and watch season 1 now) specifically because I was overjoyed to see just how much these comedians love and appreciate each other. So many people slag off Alan Carr for being low brow, cheesy TV comedy but his peers cheered him on.
this goes hard as fuck
NYT reporting that under this ceasefire each ship will pay $2M to pass through the Strait of Hormuz. It was $0 before Trump launched this illegal war.
100-130 ships pass the Strait daily.
Trump just gave Iran an extra $100M-$130M per day. Masterful gambit, sir. Impeach and remove this fascistβNOW.
as @goingmedieval.bsky.social says, "we don't have the luxury of despair."
there are some using the medieval world to do violence not just to the past but to people in the present. fight back with us.

The CDC has paused testing for rabies and pox viruses.
It's vital we keep a close eye on them as rabies is virtually 100% fatal without vaccination, and smallpox killed hundreds of millions (we really don't want a similar virus returning).
Losing track of these viruses is a recipe for catastrophe.
