Every day, I wake up to a news story telling me that a huge percentage of marketing jobs will be eliminated by AI and I ask you:
when? soon? please?
There are dozens of kids who play in our streets and alleys in Garfield. They deserve a safe neighborhood too!
According to them, "Traffic impacts were almost exclusively identified south of Penn." but this is simply not the case. People SPEED down Dearborn going 40mph+ whenever Penn is closed. And I know this because I see and hear it from my home!
Emailed Pittsburgh city planning because they're doing "traffic calming" in Friendship but *not* in Garfield during this Penn Ave construction which is...blatantly racist and classist? Am I wrong? Am I nuts?
One of the things I like best about big snowstorms in the city is that people often walk and play in the middle of the streets during the day, and get to imagine — even momentarily, and maybe for the first time ever — what city life could be like in a world without cars.
it is impossible to miss the difference between the names you see in newspaper headlines and the names you don't see in newspaper headlines
I’m eating lunch, I’m having a panic attack, I’m charging my phone, and then I’m going back out to try and keep my neighborhood safe.
Honestly yeah

What are they doing? Unknown. Will I be killed by a excavator? Unknown. Can I leave my street? Absolutely not.
Living in Garfield means waking up every day to the city trapping you in your neighborhood with new inexplicable construction projects.
No one actually likes Cancer season so celebrating Leo season early with a subtle swimsuit selfie.
Unfortunately, I think It's Happening Here
I wish I had beef with the sports league. That would be WAY more fun.
All of the claims in the below post are true and I would not go to actions hosted by either group.
Friendly reminder to my Pgh friends that PSL sucks. So does Socialist Alternative (and they also owe me $700 in legal fees).
The pool opening has cured me.
Instead of meeting politically activated people in all of the odd and imperfect places they might happen to be, some of you want them to audition for you. Let me know how that goes.
I was a medic at the Santa Ana protests in OC today.
I watched police fire tear gas, flash bangs, & rubber bullets into crowds of men, women, & children.
Other medics and I were clearly marked with red crosses, and the police were targeting us.
One of the most fucked up things I’ve ever seen.
You cannot play director or choreographer for moments of organic mobilization. I'm sorry, but even someone who understands the dynamics of what's happening (which many of you clearly don't) cannot do that. This is raw political will. You cannot direct that energy from behind a fucking screen.
"It's really hard to fathom that the guy making my pizza for 25 years is a gangster and a terrorist, and the person who shows up in an unmarked car wearing a mask and body armor comes to take him away is somehow the good guy” www.wnep.com/article/news...
Lobster fight meme, but it's all The Worst Person You Know

Anyways I would absolutely steer clear of the Pittsburgh Dyke March for a whole host of reasons. Just do something else with your afternoon.
They're literally doing the meme
