County election workers have repeatedly told us they need more time to process mail-in ballots. We took a step to answer that call today, advancing my bill that would allow election workers to start pre-canvassing mail ballots up to seven days before Election Day.

Yesterday, @reptakac.com and I met with local students at Delta to discuss recently proposed legislation on cellphone use during school hours. This was a mutually beneficial discussion about the effects of modern technology in our education system, and how students benefit vs. struggle with this.

Packed room at tonight’s State College Borough Council meeting. Most were there to discuss some sort of proactive measures condemning illegal practices by ICE. I had to leave, but there was some debate among attendees about the value of passing a simple resolution vs. an ordinance with more teeth.
