Brown University is home to George Orwell's original manuscript of 1984. Most of it is marked up heavily in Orwell's hand-writing but this untouched page caught my eye.

I was all set to go and even had a start date and then they got word that they were closing that location. Oh joy for me. I've had a few other interviews but they all decided "to go in a different direction" which is whatever but these bills keep adding up and my kids can only help so much. I wish
I'm trying so hard to pull myself up but it seems impossible at this point. Not only am I extremely emotionally messed up right now but also financially fucked. I've been applying to so many different jobs and the only place I had any luck with ended up not being able to hire me because they closed.

So I lost my father back in August due to a long battle with cancer. Well on the 5th of this month I had an Aunt pass away in her sleep. Then in the early hours of today one of my Uncles passed away. It's really kinda fucking me up right now. Idk how to handle this. I feel so numb.
