I’m glad that youtube’s AI summary tool is pro-gambling apparently
rocky being a boilermaker instantly makes him my favorite character (but congrats to iu I GUESS)
no it was f*d*x but always glad to see bezos is on this bullshit as well
like, that shit cannot be cheap and all they’re doing with it is something that can be done with a couple of text entry boxes and a dropdown menu
I want the bubble to burst so goddamn bad
I applied for a job at a major company and they had an AI chatbot as part of the application process so I was like 🙄
it asked for my name, phone number, email and other personal info, and then it was like “ok here’s the link to the application!”
WHY THE FUCK DOES THAT REQUIRE A FUCKING AI AGENT??
I think food should be free
what a sizable fellow
ptasie mleczko straight outta the fridge clears a klondike bar any day don’t @ me
Kropotkin thought that one pathway of state formation is "the sorcerer or the priest" seizes power from a military leader/judge who is beginning to construct a state. The sorcerer then joins "force and knowledge of customary law to his feared wizard power".
An anthro mouse stands alone in a dimly lit fragment of a room. clothes are scattered around on the floor and bed. They stand, pensively, nervously in front of a mirror, the only source of light in the room. staring back at them in the light of the mirror is herself, smiling.
finding myself in front of me...

i'm sorry but dish soap tastes terrible
tiktok has decided it is not allowing me to use its platform (I did not post anything at all)
okay but “Pepsi Kills Healthcare CEO” is objectively a funny headline
hello stacey 😈
(I guess this assumes harrod and june are still friends, which probably isn’t true, but w/e the artie/fartie comment still stands)
harrod caring about his friends so much is making me tear up, artie can suck a fartie 🥹
(not to say that people should always be making brash decisions, but it’s a bad tenet to live by that keeping things the way they are or always taking the “realistic” option is the best thing to do, since that tends to lead to complacency)
I’m someone who prides myself in being “intelligent”, but often that term gets used for two distinct things: being curious about the world and gaining knowledge about topics that interest you (good), and being “realistic” about things and not making choices that mess with the status quo (bad)
I’ve also lowkey realized that I haven’t really been living my life, I’ve been doing things that people who either mostly or wholly don’t care about my feelings want me to do, and I have the ability to do what I want so why shouldn’t I?
I’ve come to a point in my life that I’ve realized I’m fine making “stupid” decisions if they make me not feel miserable all the time
more like goodwest emo
Jeremy needs to die horribly I don’t care how
thanks! I made it with my hands!
there are few things which manage to endlessly fascinate me the way that linguistics does
I could literally just look at phonemic inventories for different languages for the rest of my life and be happy
a sequence of three roughly sketched pencil drawings of an anthropomorphic cat on a piece of white paper in the first drawing the cat is standing smugly with his right paw over a belt buckle holding up his jeans in the second drawing the cat is being roughly shoved by a pair of hands originating from stage left, with the cat clearly losing balance and actively mid-fall in the third the cat is lying face first in a pool of his own blood, with his arms in a position which implies he is trying to prop himself up and his torso twisted in an awkward position
what an idiot
Colossal’s bungled wolf announcement isn’t a conservation win. It’s a sad reminder of how the offensively rich want to foist their vision of the future on everyone. My latest for @slate.com
growing up is realizing that people in positions of authority are by and large some of the stupidest people out there
hearing about how they justified the right of the government to deport people and how that was used against left-wing radicals is one of the most chilling “time is a flat circle” revelations vis-à-vis the recent student protestor disappearances
