My theory on Starbucks: it caters primarily for that not insignificant sector of the market that likes the idea of coffee, but doesn’t actually like coffee.

Every time I think Tuberville can’t get more racist, he proves me wrong.

I will note that when TMZ asked RFK Jr today what he did with the penis he cut off the roadkill raccoon he refused to answer the question.

US auto industry would have already died if it hadn't been propped up by the government.

People that want to talk about "survival of the fittest" (completely misunderstanding what that means) are the same ones that are actively pushing people to not be "fit". Oh, and most of these people are actually vaccinated themselves.

Public buys the grift.

He used to actually spend time, hours, with our coaching staff when he came to recruit. Talk about life, football, fishing... Just whatever.

Saban, on the other hand... Walked into the field house, showed his face, and left. Almost never even a "Hello" to coaches.

Worlds of difference.

Nah man. I always despised him.

In other news, at least Gus is back on the plains. Always had respect for him when he would recruit our players. Actual good guy.

And the Statehouse will be more representative than it has been in recent memory.

Luckily the Alabama governor has significantly less power than other states. Unfortunately, if they also have the statehouse and Lt. Governor then it's all bad news.

Hard to make them *more* miserable, but damnit he's gonna do it.

Honestly... I might actually move.

Like I mentioned this morning, though. There is a massive enthusiasm gap in favor of Dem candidates. At least in North Alabama/HSV. He might win, but it won't be a landslide.

And there are no dissenters when discussion of this comes up. I don't know what these parents believed before, but I know what they're working toward now.

And it is a good (and rare around here) feeling to have faith in the integrity of your neighbors.

Let me tell you about Huntsville, AL:

In my mostly white upper middle class neighborhood yard signs are primarily for Democratic candidates. Multiple parents at "walker" pickup for our neighborhood school are volunteering Phone Banking for Doug Jones and other candidates.

But that was always the design. From the very founding of this country. That is why we don't have a direct democracy. The founders didn't actually think the public could be trusted.

And it turns out they were right. On accident.

Can't pick my kids up from school because an inmate escaped from the hospital in the neighborhood.

So...normal afternoon around here.

Pretty sure registration was already required. And several of my jobs have had this as a requirement for employment (state universities). While the automation is new, from my reading nothing else fundamentally changes.

But he still might be bringing back the draft.

Evangelicals from 1970 on: Biblical prophecy is being fulfilled! Jesus is coming soon! Watch for the Antichrist!

Evangelicals in 2000: The Antichrist is probably alive today. You'll know him because "He [...] will exalt himself over everything, proclaiming himself to be God." (2 Thes 2:4).

Our sweet, petite kitty is missing. One of the kids left the back door open and she got out. She's shy, so calling for her probably gets the opposite response we want. Our whole family misses her. Especially the other kitty and her Poodle best friend.

And I live right in the middle of Huntsville. Basically Downtown. The purpling is already occurring. It's a bit harder to see on the outskirts/county. But I think it's true that this would expedite it. So bring it on, I guess.
