The difference to me is much much more apparent between 30fps and 60fps than it is between 60 and 120.

Games like ARPGs or platformers I can't really tolerate at less than 60 because it feels so choppy. But 120 doesn't add much imho

But if a game is rendering 120 frames in that same time period then even if you can't perceive the individual frames your brain can still tell the difference because you get something similar to the blur naturally.

It's much easier to see the difference with video games because of a couple factors.

One is that video at 60fps and even film at 24fps have motion blur that includes all the in between states in a single frame.

Games either don't have that, or use TAA which is kinda sorta but not really the same.

Kind of rare to see Thomas & Alito not agreeing on something these days.

I mean we kinda are.

Right now they're beefing with trump so we all laugh when they clown him, but if not for the war we'd be decrying them for their human rights abuses and forced religion.

What's he going to do now that Tim Apple is leaving? Or will he just be the only Tim, like the highlander.

It's actually quite a lot more recent than that. The idea of the rapture, at least the way most people think about it (the "worthy" being whisked off without a trace before Armageddon begins) really wasn't a thing until around the 1960s or so.

A lot of us were pretty sympathetic after the Oct 7 attacks, but they completely squandered all that goodwill with the way they used it as an excuse to go on the offensive and indiscriminately wipe out Palestinians.

Rookie move, you gotta mow in a spiral pattern out from the house so anything like that flies at the neighbors' houses instead.

It's basically the star trek computer "do what I mean" interface. Which even in sci fi didn't work 100% of the time lol. But still has a lot of appeal for ease of use.

Part of the problem is companies replacing things that already have good UX with half baked chatbots that are worse in some ways.

Idk I kind of feel like "Catholics shouldn't get abortions" and "the secular state should forcibly prevent everyone of all religions from getting abortions" are kinda two different things and don't see how disagreeing with the second would make you a sinner.

So that's time enough for markets to go through about 12 more "it's so over, we're so back" cycles as Trump promises the war is over next week and reality snaps back.
