Absolutely embarrassing.

The missing piece of this viral post is that the Texas officials are lying and deflecting blame. The NWS, hobbled as it is, issued an accurate flood watch for Kerr County the evening before and accurate escalating warnings overnight as the flood was developing.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott post that quotes a post from Dallas Mayor Eric Johnson.

Abbott: "Dallas is the first self-declared "Sanctuary City from Socialism." The State of Texas will provide whatever support is needed to fulfill that mission."

Johnson: If your city is (or is about to be) a sanctuary for criminals, mayhem, job-killing regulations, and failed socialist experiments, I have a modest invitation for you: MOVE TO DALLAS.

The roads in Dallas are crumbling, the educational outcomes are bad, the inequality is high, the poverty rate is higher than the national average, and significant racial segregation persists. But yes, let's talk about how it's a place that's safe from failed socialist experiments.

When you look at the final vote count don't forget that 3 old-ass Democrat representatives died in this term (one of whom had fucking throat cancer!) because they were too arrogant to retire.

When the previous record was 8 hours and 32 minutes and Jeffries chooses to speak for just 12 minutes longer when he could have gone for as long as he physically could stand, it's clear that he just wanted his name in a nice little headline.

This spineless coward only wanted his name on the new record. He never actually wanted to stop anything.

Screenshot of a tweet that says "This is probably the biggest mass killing since World War II but no one is talking about it because it’s an acceptable way of killing people and an acceptable group of people to kill." Below the tweet is another screenshot of a news headline that says "Study: 14 million lives could be lost due to Trump aid cuts."

For some people a few months ago, CECOT probably seemed like a nightmare concentration camp, yet one that was "safely" off-shore. But make no mistake: the Trump admin is working tirelessly to bring this particular brand of carceral torture home to the States.

Case 8:25-cv-00951-PX
Document 211
Filed 07/02/25 Page 2 of 5
3. The proposed Amended Complaint details the Government's defiance of court
orders after this Court granted preliminary injunctive relief. The Amended Complaint includes
allegations that the Government made decisions to defy judicial mandates. These allegations are
new to the Complaint, but have been cited in various filings in this Court as the case has developed.
They are directly relevant to Plaintiffs' constitutional claims and outstanding requests for
declaratory and prospective injunctive relief.
4. Plaintiffs also seek to incorporate evidence that emerged in a June 2025
whistleblower disclosure from former DOJ official Erez Reuveni, who was previously counsel for
the Government in this case. The new allegations include government officials internally
acknowledging that Abrego Garcia's removal was an "administrative error" while simultaneously
working to prevent his return and to make post-hoc justifications. These revelations provide
evidence of deliberate misconduct that was unavailable when the original Complaint was filed and
directly support Plaintiffs' claims.
5. The proposed Amended Complaint also Includes Abrego Garcia's first-hand
account of torture and mistreatment at CECOT, as well as developments regarding his return to the United States and the Government's stated plan to remove him again. These allegations identify
the severe harm actually suffered and the threat of repeated unlawful removal that supports
Plaintiffs' request for prospective injunctive relief. The inclusion of these facts, which could not
have been pleaded at the time of the original filing, is essential to present a complete picture of the
violations and ensure adequate relief.
6. Plaintiffs also propose to clarify that the relief sought includes restoring the status
quo ante, which requires (among other things) the Government to return Abrego Garcia to

NEW: Kilmar Abrego Garcia’s lawyers seek permission to file an amended complaint in his civil case in Maryland.

Among other things, the amended complaint “includes Abrego Garcia's first-hand account of torture and mistreatment at CECOT…”

Something I can't understand: when someone sees a guy in a police uniform doing violent, ridiculously stupid things and they say "No way that's law enforcement. That's a J6 rioter working as a bounty hunter"

Have you SEEN cops? This is how they always act. It's not new behavior.

lacrosse eye goggles: an open metal cafe protecting the eye

lacrosse eye goggles: an open metal cafe protecting the eye

Don't wear goggles to a protest unless they're rated shatter resistant. You're better off with NO eye protection than eyewear that will send shards of plastic into your eye.

If you can't find shatterproof goggles, get lacrosse goggles. Cheap and effective eye protection from larger munitions.

If you want to show solidarity with Los Angeles, the best thing to do is organize protests against ICE tonight/tomorrow in your own cities.

Search the web for ICE rapid response networks in your own city / state and sign up. Help your neighbors.
