Scholasticide in Gaza: A Need for Recognition of Systematic Educational Destruction as Genocidal
opiniojuris.org/2025/07/23/s...
A screenshot of The Guardianās homepage. It says: Middle East Crisis Live. There is a photo of a woman holding a severely emaciated child.
In 2025, you can watch a genocide live. Itās entirely right the media should report on Israelās mass murder of Palestinians but ālive feedsā sums up the horror: the world watches fellow human beings starve as those with power do nothing.
Care Homes were put under 'intense pressure' to 'make their contribution' by admitting covid-positive patients from the NHS.
Important evidence today at the Covid Inquiry from Cathie Williams on behalf of the Association of Directors of Adult Social Services.
Today I was told that if I canāt at least cook simple meals for myself I should be institutionalized.
That people on disability should not be allowed to access āluxuriesā like food delivery services because theyāre unhealthy and expensive.
This is eugenics. š§µ
Feeding oneself is literal survival

#DisabilityPrideMonth spotlight: Councillor Steve Darling MP used his lived experience to transform council culture in Torbay. By working with Disabled colleagues, they reduced barriers for staff & councillors.

Am I now arriving at the fabled part of the PhD where it seems you canāt do anything right? š but I keep pressing on bc Iāve fought so hard to get here even if ppl donāt see it. Your reminder that disabled #PhD are probably grappling with more than you see. For me thatās trauma, finance and health
Iām proud to have contributed to this zine particularly drawing on resistance to eugenics and eugenics itself as a tool for suppressing dissent. My contributions focus on hidden history of disabled persons resistance against Nazis & how eugenics was (is) used to suppress black resistance in the US
#Disability Day of Mourning remembers disabled people murdered by caregivers. But, all too often that caregiver is the state. If we sanitise murders by individuals as a āmercyā how can we prosecute state officials for facilitating murder of disabled people? ICL scholars should think of that #PhD
Disabled people should not be obligated to make our expressions of our oppression āniceā or palatable to those oppressing or upholding the power to oppress #PhD #LocalGov #DisabilityRights
My experience in developing and facilitating training is growing; from local government to volunteering to tutoring. I hope to create something unique; knowledge and training on how disabled peopleās organisations and disabled public servants can harness and shape international criminal justice.
That intl criminal justice has not been part of this yet is symptomatic of the exclusion of disabled people from this vital system, both in practice and in academia. It has to end and Iāll find a way to make it so we arenāt ignored by making the field face itself and empowering people with knowledge
International criminal justice can and should be part of the conversation around the democide of disabled in the UK. Cuts bringing about our deaths are shown to be used to fund genocide of Palestinians. The UN has called out the UK yet again for policies which may cause death and suffering +
Love to disabled people today.
Whatever happens, whatever our Democidal MPs vote... We won't give up fighting for the basic rights and support everyone deserves
Vital listening as the gov now prepares to go after disabled childrenās rights to education next
The Doctrine of Intertemporal Law and the Challenge of Decolonising the Law on Territorial and Boundary Issues in Africa: Gabon/Equatorial Guinea at the ICJ | by Christopher Nyinevi and Yohannes Eneyew Ayalew
I love this! Especially that idea that intl law is ours to seize and create. If thatās to happen however, academia must own up that knowledge to the public and make our work and ideas accessible

Tomorrow is the final vote of the Government's disastrous Universal Credit Bill

star trek and disability, contribution deadline closing soon
Closing soon! Looking for contributions to Star Trek & Disability part 2, only 120-350 words. Please reach out if interested.
Think Iām just gonna embrace the chaotic energy that comes from me crashing out so hard over years I decided to do a PhD and move away from everyone I know about it. Politics/Law PhDers we need to start meeting chaos with chaos
If this was speech about any other demographic thereās be outrage and posts everywhere including from intl law and human rights academia. Do disabled people not matter?

For sure! Iād love to get coffee with you when you can
This what I mean when I say crime against humanity and democide
Spiritual hug for you, I know how stressful that is (and how much graduate loan systems can screw around). I know itās not much but Iād be happy to lend an ear if you ever need š
The COVID pandemicās forgotten legacy: a rising tide of disability
While political debate intensifies over DWP welfare costs, a quieter crisis grows in plain sight after the COVID pandemic

No democide, no genocide
Thanks thatās good to know! Even if thereās an online option I just want to put myself out there to ICL peers more, and even affording PhD study and living as a disabled person can be an expensive business
