I mean, the old edition probably tried for that as well but this is definitely a shift towards bringing parity between melee and shooting.

An observation I had reading this is that it seems like the new edition is trying to have the flow of an average game follow the SM Combat Doctrines, with 1-2 rounds of Devastator followed by 1-2 rounds of Tactical followed by 1-2 rounds of Assault.

I managed to prime it in such a way as to make the ball and everything around it white, though, which I think will help me with offset lighting? I dunno, I've never done anything this complex before.
