Well said. Thank you. This is the spirit in which I responded to AngryStaffer's original post. There aren't enough characters available in posts to describe how horrified I am at the Evil striding around taking lives, destroying everything. Saving lives is innately good and pure in my opinion.
I don't really think the King represents the British People any more than I think Trump represents normal, healthy Americans. However, I think it would be the right and appropriate thing to do to cancel this event. Trump is well beyond the delicate mysteries of "soft power" and diplomacy.
I think it's ok to celebrate the saving of someone's life. Doesn't change the other best outcome but in the moment, a tiny spark of Light is good.
