Yeah, it really is impressive just how good Linux gaming is. I do occasionally run into issues, but those are for indie titles played by maybe 1000 people total released on a decade old engine. Most modern engines and games with a budget work fine.

This is what it looked like running through WINE, except all of the 3D elements were flashing. Interesting way for it to glitch, but I'm glad it's working properly through Proton. Good sign for a Steam release.

Update! I got it to work. I did some light googling and there's a compatability tool called protontricks that can install the runtime. It runs through Proton now.

Well, I'm not getting anywhere. It opens with WINE, but the visuals are glitching out. Running it through Steam's Proton gives an error that says it requires Visual C++ Runtime. I'm not sure how to get that on Linux. I still have a Windows PC so I'll play it on that next time I have a chance.

I look forward to trying it out. I'm currently on Linux (Windows 11 gives me the ick) so I'll let you know how well that goes.
