Much of the Cathedral was built of flint and brick from the Roman walls, and there’s interesting Roman ruins and mosaic to look at (love a good hypocaust!)

More work on the house requiring that the kitchen be dismantled again; this time for installation of wiring for solar pannels. Needed to assure myself that the installation met permitted development and stood off from the roof less than 0.2m!
A few weeks back we visited St Albans to tick off another Cathedral. Intersting to see the different styles of the Norman build (round arches) and the gothic extensions and re-build (pointed arches). Cold and foggy!
