You don't think that implies that there's a cosmic being rendering judgement, do you? While I do think the universe is conscious, the wizard behind the curtain is a step too far for me

That's because facts do not (usually) change minds. It's been proven (ahem) that most people make decisions based on how they feel and then rationalize it.

Just a reminder that the senator who sponsored the bill which became law with broad bipartisan support that states a president cannot pull the US out of NATO without congressional approval was …

Lawrence O’Donnell made a great point.

Nixon won his 1972 re-election in a landslide, winning 49 states.

In 1974 he resigned.

By 1976, you couldn’t find anyone who would admit to supporting him.

Looking forward to history repeating itself.

Still can’t get over the House GOP rejecting a 100-0 bill from the Senate to fund TSA, Coast Guard, and FEMA and… just going on vacation.

Complete abdication of duty.

Right, simply entertaining this challenge as if it's remotely legitimate is already discrediting.

If there's a single vote to end birthright citizenship, we need to take this Supreme Court apart with sledgehammers and start over.

There was a pop up here in Berkeley CA that did the same thing. I think it was called the Gratitude Cafe. It would use a restaurant one day a month and you paid what you thought it was worth and anything above expenses went to the homeless (I think, for sure it was a charity)

Reporter: “If you could say something to Trump, what would it be?”

PA voter: “You're a worthless pile of shit.”

Reporter: “How many times did you vote for him?”

PA voter: “Three times. That was my bad. Apparently I'm an idiot.”

declawing it, worked so well in California with our ballot initiative, that people would just walk in with bags, scoop everything on the shelf, and walk out.

Yes, this is abhorrent behavior on the part of our govt from the inception of today's ICE but if you would prefer massive drugs and criminals flooding our nation, in other words WHAT WE HAVEN'T HAD for the past 200+ years, by all means abolish ICE.

I agree. Working on a new report on this right now. What happened in Atlanta today is significantly worse than it even appears on the surface. I daresay I no longer hold out much hope that this fall will be anything but utter—and scary—chaos.

A free and fair election increasingly feels unthinkable.

Does anyone know what kind of waterfowl this is? They're about the size of a Mallard. This was just taken in the SF Bay area and I'm stumped.

Republicans are trying to cover up their betrayal of Americans.

If they truly cared about putting "America first," they wouldn’t have passed their “Big Beautiful Bill” that sold out families to billionaires.

Wow, the House passed the release of the Epstein files by the vote of 427 - 1. Now the Senate has to vote on it.
