Pahrump, Nevada. Wind advisory for later, is cloud attempting to become lenticular over foothills? Virga, no moisture making it to earth.

Some color in early morning sky while walking in Pahrump, Nevada. Old man walk, 2.2 miles at 3.2 mph.
Like those shoes.
Interesting read. We in the USA face similar climate, monopoly consolidation of food source issues. Sadly, millions in the USA go hungry every day and our government reduces or cancels their SNAP benefits. So much for being a land of plenty as we used to say.
Amen, they sure aren’t Eisenhower or George H.W. Bush Republicans. Republican means fascist or cult to me anymore.
We have sunk so far as a people. Trump gets away daily with boorish conduct that would have swept a politician off the stage in a heartbeat 50 years ago.
One last thought, we cut food assistance and medical care to support tax cuts. Now we spend $100B on undeclared war. WTF? I’ve changed, I’m fairly progressive in my thinking now.
Understand. Also, looking back, our government shouldn’t have sent us. Ho Chi Minh made overtures for help after WW2. We scorned him. We got involved in a civil war, not the domino theory prevalent then.
In a hot, humid, looking back with life experience, very dangerous place. 58,000 plus men, some maybe boys, women didn’t come back.
Vet’s pref, degree, ‘made’ them hire me at age 56. They credited my 5 years flying with USAF towards pension time, vacation time. Retired at 15 years actual service with full 20 year pension. The government has been good to me.
I got fed help. GI Bill made law school feasible after military service. I used Vets loan to buy house. Christ, I even worked for them in SF after 1st early retirement and draw pension, plus social security. Government has been good to me.
Never was a ‘dyed in the wool’ Republican. My concern over deficit federal spending led me there. But, I was never against providing a safety net for those Americans in need. Nasty shit can happen to good people who then need help.
Have to go back a couple decades at least. I was one of them. Maybe fiscally conservative but had a caring heart and soul. I was disillusioned in 2000, bailed in 2016.
The point isn’t supposed to be humorous, but I’m laughing.
That’s a great spread of food…
I’m like ‘Honey’ as I wander this house with memories of a wife who is no longer present to dispense joy.
Understand. Life produces pain and regrets in addition to joy. Cherish what you have while you have it, friend. /s/ Recent Widower
Three words and a colon sadden me. About 50% of Yanks are caring people who try to live, doing as to others as you would have them do onto you…
Are silent movies eligible?
What kind of puddle jumper? PA 12? Oops, showing my age.
Learned while on daily walks where wild horses came close. Don’t get between mom and her colt; don’t come too close behind, even if they seem docile, may experience a sudden back hoof event.
Great pic. BLM is rounding up wild horses in the Pahrump Valley where I live. Sad.
I laughed when reading your well written post; unfortunately, it really isn’t funny. And, you know the bastards are all closet casual sex addicts.
My friend's cat had one kitten. Just one little perfect kitten. This is so cute
Curt Gowdy was still broadcasting when I was young. He’s a Wyoming kid who made it to the big time. Pics are great.
Go girl, congratulations.
Thank God you said Gulf of Mexico.
Shit happens when hedge funds moved into the landlord business. They will bleed the asset (your residence) for every single penny they can squeeze out.
Think village concept collapsed with planned stagnation of middle class forcing most to scramble to simply survive as extreme wealth accumulated on top.
Made me laugh..
