ICE detaining doctors is absurd. Let me explain something: foreign-trained doctors get trained and practice in places where American medical graduates often do not want to go. They are not taking jobs from anybody. They go to undesirable locations and take undesirable jobs.

If the government is detaining doctors who serve underserved communities, the only conclusion left is that it is willing to leave those communities without healthcare.

If you see a doctor with an accent and think getting rid of that doctor will somehow bring you one without an accent, you are mistaken. The real choice is often a doctor with an accent or no doctor at all. Choose.
