Having come from semester systems it is hilarious to me that we had to get an email reminding ppl to teach the full 10 weeks of our quarter.

Somehow I ended up in a place that closes restaurants, grocery meat counters, medical practices, and pharmacies due to lack of staffing and it makes life so much harder

Further reflection has me thinking about why we encourage students to cite rather than how professional citations work - though I understand that in a perfect world these are linked I think they often are not

Citation is valuable to let a reader find the original source (with research or data, complete coherent ideas, other related work, etc) and give credit — with AI generated content, original sources are all boiled down, I guess, and not even recoverable.

Can't do anything with that citation.
