Delighted & honoured to have made my Wisden Debut in the 2026 Almanack 🏏

The inaugural Tier 1 T20 Blast Finals Day was very memorable so it was a pleasure to write about it

A few years ago I inherited my grandad’s Wisden collection so this is a very special one to add to it

Impressive Lewis continues to dominate as Lancashire crush Durham in season opener Lancashire (303/8) beat Durham (154 all out) by 149 runs (match reduced to 48 overs per side)Maybe it is slightly unfair to imagine that the beginning of the English cricket season, arriving as it does hot on the heals of the dawn of British Summer Time, earmarks the start of “actual Summer”.Occasionally, in England, we are blessed with an unseasonably warm April. April 2025 was such a month, when the new county structure for English women’s cricket coincided with some hot sunny weather, helping

I think maybe next week we’ll speak about it on the podcast, not entirely cricket related & not currently a huge cricket place but I may take my cricket kit with me & we’ll see what happens!!

I will say finishing a degree, preparing to move country, moving out of my uni house etc all coinciding with a chaotic cricket season isn’t ideal but very much looking forward to an exciting 2026 season!

Almost everyone in the room is male.

A room full of men bidding on women.

If you can't see a problem here, you are the problem.

Great to hear from Odedra in this piece.

I am a bit puzzled as to why everyone seems so puzzled by the lack of South Asian representation in women's cricket, though. Women in sport are subject to racism too.

Combine that with sexism (in a little thing known as intersectionality), and here we are.

Very grateful Mikhail Shaidorov is the Olympic champion & gets skate in the iconic panda costume on the world stage in easily the most ridiculous but entertaining performance of the gala 🤣

No gold medalist quite like Misha!

Olivia Smart & Tim Dieck having a kick about on the ice in Spain training kit & skating to Freed From Desire…this is why the Olympic gala is the best 🤣

Alysa Liu has not stopped smiling throughout the Olympics & finishes with Gold 🥇👑

She came back on her own terms & does it because she loves it. Feel like we all need to take a leaf out of her book

Agreed, they’ve added so much to the broadcast. So supportive of the athletes, great at explaining etc without being condescending
