So the AI store is that dril candles tweet.

Watching this with my beloved and she just said these are all oldies now and I hate that she’s not wrong.
Very large, EF3+ tornadoes will be possible in IA/IL/WI - dangerous day ahead…
None near me, with the most feasible (Evanston) sold out, but perhaps some GP dates are close to you!
A legitimate crochet pattern listing from my shop. It is the One-Skein Dragon pattern. For $6 you get a 50+ page pattern (also pictured in the listing).
An AI-generated picture of my dragon designs on a table in front of a fireplace. The listing is $18, marked down to $4.50.

At this point I really can't recommend that people buy crochet patterns on Etsy, because it's more AI slop than not. Here's the most recent rip-off of my pattern (mine in the first pic, ripoff in the rest). On "sale" for less than my pattern but who knows what you actually get 🤷🏼♀️ 🧶
Gonna go out on a limb here and say we should probably stop electing narcissists.
Photo of Liverpool player Andy Robertson, in Liverpool’s 2025-26 home red kit, wearing a blue captain armband, and clapping for fans.
Andy, Andy, Andy, I can’t let you go. 🎶
Gonna miss this guy. My favorite Liverpool player. #LFC
I have my first piece out in my organization's Substack (I know, I know, I lost that argument!) - the first in a series, actually, about the intersection of substance use disorders and the criminal legal system.

Thanks for this! Very timely, as we were just discussing drug courts in last night’s class, and the dominance of referrals to treatment via the CJ system.
Ah, yes, the near-daily worldwide liminal state, courtesy of the US. Will *this* circus tent be set on fire, immolating all?
I dunno, seems bad. Wonder if the dude who painted “FJB” on all the pumps at this station back in 2022 has any comment.
We have to take a short day trip out of town to see family this weekend, so I went to our more reasonable gas station to get gas. One pump was out of order, and the one I used had no regular unleaded. It ran out of the next level at 7.5 gallons. I got the remaining 5.5 gallons at the highest price.
Faced with a week of space sticks and Tang, crew couldn’t resist hitting all u can eat fajita night before boarding, with predictable results.
As a black person who was working in a newsroom, I will forever nurse my rage about watching white coworkers chuckle at Trump’s birther press conferences. From the jump, he was “asking” for President Obama’s walking papers. A direct line current police and violence. It was never a joke or gimmick.
The street here sounds like Den Haag, not Utrecht?
GM, rescinding ad dollars due to the implication their cars break down.
I do not like the FIFA World Cup ’26 song. Did we really need the cliche about a “broke-down Chevy”? So downbeat and depressing despite the title. Ugh. I hope we don’t have to hear it very much, but I fear we will. Should have handed full control to Mexico.
Every now and then I imagine a post-apocalypse where we ordinary folks have perished, and the likes of Elon, Mark Z, Peter T, JK Rowling, etc. emerge from their bunkers and have to *cooperate*. Good times. Not religious, but it makes me wish for an afterlife where we watch from the clouds, laughing.

We have so many worthy, wonderful young adult cats who’ve been passed over time & time again, many have never had a single application in nearly a year of being in our rescue. If you’ve been thinking of adopting, maybe one of them is your perfect match! Elkon, MD www.petfinder.com/member/us/md...
At least the others don’t seem to hate him based on the reaction, I suppose.

I try to stay positive and happy for others, so that’s why I am not upset that George the Station Cat has better sweaters than I do.
Great piece on shifts in marriage, with important insights from @wendymanning.bsky.social and citing research by @ncfmr-bgsu.bsky.social.
Isn‘t Tiger Woods seriously seeing Vanessa Trump? Might want to avoid having the Trump grandkids in a car with Tiger, even if he does mentor the daughter’s golf career. 😬 Vanessa sure knows how to pick ‘em.
The high cost of childcare in the U.S. is pushing more couples to postpone having kids. CPC Director Karen Guzzo says economic uncertainty and worry about the future are key factors when choosing to delay having children.

We (rightly) discuss the destruction of CBS News, but, as someone who occasionally uses old “60 Minutes” pieces in class, it’s sometimes shocking how their correspondents spoke about things or framed issues, even in segments from the 2010s. Even Lesley Stahl (and, predictably, Mike Wallace).
I’m going to miss Mo Salah. Over the next couple of months, I plan to be celebrating everything he’s done for Liverpool. #LFC This summer, I’ll be rooting for him to excel in the World Cup.

Ecce Homo, the painting of Jesus in Spain that was grossly disfigured as a result of an attempted restoration by an 81-year-old elderly town resident.
I desperately want Arne Slot and Liverpool #LFC to succeed, but his bizarre, last-ditch substitutions where half the players are out of position baffle me. It always feels like this:
