Krishna completed her secondment at UG in Nov 2025, gaining insight into thin-film fabrication via PLD, measurement and electrode processes. Special thanks to Memoona for sharing her expertise and to Prof. Beatriz for the warm hospitality.
🎉 Editor’s Pick | Applied Physics Letters 🎉
We are pleased to share that TOPOCOM DC Duc Tran’s publication “Controlling Skyrmion Lattice Orientation with Local Magnetic Field Gradients” has been selected as an Editor’s Pick in APL.👏

Two universities, one team - the best about doing science is the people we are allowed to work with. 🇳🇴🇩🇪
Krishna completed her secondment at the University of Messina, a perfect blend of sun, sea, and simulation. She explored phase-field simulations of ferroelectric dielectric slabs, studying domain formation and how magnetic bubbles can enable novel low energy computing.
New leadership at the European Magnetism Association #EMA!
@Dennis Meier is the new president, and @Susana Cardoso de Freitas is the new vice-president

Yuean Zhou completed secondments at the Universities of Messina and Bari, performing micromagnetic simulations on skyrmion diffusion in confined geometries. With Prof. Finocchio and Prof. Rodrigues, she studied energy landscapes and stochastic dynamics, advancing spintronic device research.
Anusree and Elisa completed a four-week secondment together at LIST on April 2025 hosted by Jorge Iñiguez. They delved deep into Ginzburg–Landau theory of ferroelectrics, participated in the group activities and gave presentations, fostering knowledge exchange and engaging in scientific discussions.
