Facebook is so far gone man. As toxic as X is, the hollowed-out slopfarm that Zuck has let Facebook become may be even more shameful

Just ran across this on Facebook. Fake incendiary Trump post shared to 334k followers, account presenting itself as journalistic, then an ask for people to subscribe in the comments

Damn, you've out generic-Pakistan-memed me

Talk to a Pakistani in your life. I mean, I'm seeing this pretty well across ideology and ethnicity too which is a big deal

It is kind of fun watching how hyped and patriotic all my Pakistani mutuals on Facebook are about the country's critical mediation role in the Iran war

I realize I didn't pick any "fun" ones, sorry. I don't believe the NFL was rigged for the Chiefs (maybe because we kicked their asses gloriously in the Super Bowl)

What else...I mean technically these claims of rampant insider trading off Trump's foreign policy moves on prediction websites are a "conspiracy theory", and I think they're pretty likely to be borne out to a significant degree

I am pretty partial to the Russian directed energy weapons conspiracy theory, which is now I think considered increasingly plausible if not true by many experts?

The Onion plans to turn Infowars into a comedy site with satirical echoes of the fringe conspiracy theories that Mr. Jones is known for. Tim Heidecker, one of the comedians behind “Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!” on Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim, has been hired to serve as “creative director of Infowars.” He said he initially plans to parody Mr. Jones’s “whole modus operandi.”

Mr. Heidecker has been working on his impression of Mr. Jones. But eventually, when that joke gets old, Mr. Heidecker said that he hoped to turn Infowars into a destination for independent and experimental comedy.

“I just thought it would be just a beautiful joke if we could take this pretty toxic, negative, destructive force of Infowars and rebrand it as this beautiful place for our creativity,” Mr. Heidecker said in an interview. During a recent trip to Philadelphia, he traveled to the Liberty Bell to film a video in character as the new creative director of Infowars.

This deal is about to be exactly like the JCPOA, minus Obama’s signature

It’s pretty bleak though and you’re right we have very little influence as observers in the West and/or in the Jewish diaspora debating our ideal end-games

In reality I think the immediate goal is just to stop the bleeding, and maybe hope for some leadership change and a cooling-off

Then one could see if any dialogue were possible. And yes no easy answers — I just think 1SS has gotten increasingly popular and I was trying to problematize that a little

And you could say, OK that’s happening now but the point is to have a solution that STOPS it from happening — hence, separation

Like man, what do you think happens when two groups are both demographic contenders for political control and dominance in a new state

This is what I still think is the best way out of the whole mess too, and while I understand the impulse of one-staters I find their logic so funny —

“Israelis are evil genocidal racist Nazis, my proposed solution is that Palestinians share a state with them ~50-50. It’ll go great.”

It shouldn’t be edgy to admit there were tradeoffs — collective mental health being a key one — in implementing the policies we did to fight COVID, even as they were essential

And to the extent it is that only reflects a sort of ideological motivated reasoning and dissonance avoidance on the left

Oh, c’mon. I’m normally pretty bullish on proper password security but one of my few exceptions is journal sites — I use old simple passwords for all.

What is a hacker or identity thief gonna do, submit an article to JCR on my behalf?

I agree but I was having trouble articulating WHY it looked off to me.

What would the AI-spotting "tips" be from this? She doesn't look integrated with the backgrounds, and almost too photo-realistic?

"Your Account is Suspended" Message on X

The CEO of Palantir posted a fascist manifesto on X.

I pointed out that it was fascist—which resulted in a permanent suspension from X (my second time!).

So, when you hear the tweeters complaining that BlueSky is intolerant, remember why many of us came here in the first place.
