All the FF games are worth a look but it's a BIG rabbit hole at this point. Still my fave series of games, though.
For the most part it's based on real locations, but I'm honestly not 100% sure how realistic it is.
And as far as Multiplayer RPG's, there's always FFXIV.
I don't really know if there's anything I'm looking forward to yet. I'll have to keep an eye out for any RPG's, those are my jam. T'il then, gonna keep messing around with Train Sim World 5. It's relaxing.
