Day 4: Carcassonne
I can wholeheartedly endorse a trip here. It's a castle with relatively little interesting history but as the pictures hopefully show, it's a beautiful place to explore. We visited at the very start of the season, in the last week of march. As a result, it was very quiet.
Day 3: Perpignan - A scorcher of a day. We made a beeline for the palace of the Kings of Majorca. The wine was brilliant value at €14 www.vivino.com/wines/2769252
More from day 2: The first wine bar has hit the holiday. A tiny little place, with a by-the-glass menu packed with a variety of unique wines. This red is 100% Lledoner Pelut aka. "Hairy Grenache" was served lightly chilled. www.vivino.com/wines/165534...
Day 2: Barcelona 🇪🇸 The botanical gardens were beautiful and completely empty with the majority of people watching the UCI Cycling race or the football match.
